Kizlyar Supreme Caspian Hunting and Camp Knife

Hi all. Well I can't keep away from these Kizlyar Supreme knives! This is the Caspian Hunting and Camping knife. Superb build quality is obvious to me.

Quality root walnut is used

Quality dark root Walnut used for handle scales

for the handle slabs, not the weaker yellowish outer wood of walnut, nor a mix of the two. According to Kizlyar Supreme the Caspian represents a Bowie style knife blade geometry with the loss of the typical guards seen on such knives. A guard IMHO is or can be a bit of a hinderance on a hunting knife (if you are not using it primarily for stabbing/pigging/dogging etc).
My Caspian is made with AUS8. My previous Kizlyar Supreme hunting knives, also made with AUS8 haven't let me down either for sharpness and holding an edge. I measured my Caspian blade thickness at 3.8mm. The listed is 3.9mm ok that's no difference. 142mm long blade with a genuine well stitched and riveted leather scabbard. You have an option of using the belt loop or the extended loop to carry this knife. A nice addition is the finger cutaway

on the scabbard to allow easy access to removing the knife. The handle thickness I measured at 19mm. The Caspian is a full tang knife. I t comes with a lifetime warranty and that says it all. Stay tuned for the full field review on BushCampingTools of the Caspian Hunting knife by Kizlyar Supreme.

Kizlyar Supreme Senpai Large Outdoor Knife

Kizlyar Supreme Sen Pai part of Kizlyar Supreme's Large Outdoor Series knives
Well what to say? I've had my eye on the Kizlyar Supreme Senpai ever since it came out! Now I've got my hands on an Olive drab version of this model. Like my other knives from Kizlyar Supreme this one doesn't disappoint me in the build quality. BTW Senpai translates from the Japanese to: "Older Colleague."

Respect shown!

Ok so this is my second knife from Kizlyar with this very comfy Kraton and ABS handle, so it came as no surprise that it fits well in the hand and is very grippy too. Full tang, 4.8mm spine, fantastic Japanese profile upswept tip of a Tanto. My model is made with AUS8. Quite fitting for a Japanese style knife!

I like this well proven knife steel. The Senpai is hardened in the range: 57-59HRC.

But what I really like is this:

Proud to state Made In Russia!

Mine arrived razor sharp out of it's box. As I've said a bazillion times. A prerequisite for a good knife.

The Senpai's sheath system is excellent. Constructed from Polyamide material, with a super reassuring "Big Click" heard when inserting the knife. No chance of accidental release. One handed removal via pressing your thumb into the sheath hence parting the two halves to disengage the guard.

To remove the clip just use a Phillips Head driver

A reversible belt clip for lefties LOL! But seriously, simple to remove the belt clip. Mine came for a right handed person.
Multiple attachments afford by the cut outs on the scabbard.

The Kizlyar Supreme Senpai is also available in  D2 tool steel.
Warranty is for
The blade profile incorporates a hollow grind to straight edge bevels, great for cutting power. Full spine thickness almost to the tip, actually about 20mm only from the tip, so it thins enough for penetration power. BTW I'll be testing the Kizlyar Supreme Sen Pai thoroughly in an upcoming video review on BushCampingTools so stay tuned!
