Work Tuff Gear ELBRUS Fixed Blade Survival/Combat? Knife
Work Tuff Gear ELBRUS-as in Mountain! |
Work Tuff Gear ELBRUS is a big beefy spear point with an excellent convex grind on the edge. The blade has been sabre ground with a ever decreasing swedge which starts just approx. 3cm from some nice finger gimping.
My one came with fluorescent orange, textured G10 scales. The blade steel is Bohler's K110 or D2. There is a partial "splash" pattern applied to this blade as well. The knife has been vacuum hardened to HRC 57-59.
The blade length is 7 inches
Work Tuff Gear Elbrus full tang convex ground fixed blade. |
Non reflective, partially "Splash" blade finish technique as seen on this model. |
Easily seen with the fluorescent orange handle scales in G10 (other colours available).
It's a big spear point with a very nice tapering swedge to the tip. The tip isn't woosy either!

After chopping heavily seasoned knotty birch and hacking into both dirty softwood trees and fat wood, slicing through meat is no problem. |
Good comfortable grip, even when swinging this big knife. |
Stick around, as this knife is "going bush" soon in the real Aussie sense and we shall see how it fares in a really tough environment, some just suited for such a big knife as the Work Tuff Gear Elbrus! Also I'll be showing the new carry system for this knife.
