RaidOps LJ6GP MT
Review

RaidOps Urban Tactical Knives is a Korean based company, the manager is Mr Andy KIM.  Mr Kim's company RaidOps merges successfully funky designs with practicality when it comes to tough serious blades and personal defence equipment. The RaidOps LJ6GPMT EDC BackUp knife in CPM S30V stainless steel is just another example of his cool but functional designs. RaidOps manufactures their products in: Korea, Taiwan and Italy. The RaidOps LJ6GP is made with the super tough Crucible metals S30V stainless steel.
RaidOps LJ6GPMT* EDC BackUp knife CPM S30V stainless steel! G10 scales** WOW!

CPMS30V Powder metallurgical steel

Huge chunky spine measured at 5mm! 0.2"! tapers to a slightly convex blade curvature via a hollow grind.

Hollow ground to aid cutting power! Big Thumb / finger gimping, knife seen pictured ina size 8.5 hand.

What makes the RaidOps LJ6GPMT EDC BackUp /neck knife CPM S30V stainless steel work is the fact that it's blade has been hollow ground and is not a flat grind. With such a chunky hunk of metal, it would have decreased it's cutting power I believe. The RaidOps LJ6GP EDC BackUp knife is not for those with huge hands- I'd say between 8-8.5  very maximum of 9 (if that) but none the less it's outward curving blade wreaks of cutting power. The spine has chunky milled gimping.

It's plain to get a gauge of the size of this knife when we compare it to a standard "Teklok"-type belt clip. see above and below images.

A Lanyard hole completes the features of this little knife.

The knife is easily held in a reverse grip. The polymer scabbard is made in Taiwan and the "Teklok"-like lock is made in China.

The fit and finish of the actual knife is excellent. The blade of course is designed by RAIDOPS in Korea and manufactured in Crucible Metals Powder metallurgical steel S30V steel. With stated hardness of HRC 60.

Closing the hand in a reverse grip, isn't a problem.

According to Crucible CPM S30V can be easily hardened to HRC 60 yet but still retain toughness and with comparable if not better corrosion resistance to that of 440C.

Anyway, like all of my knife reviews, the RaidOps LJ6GP will be thoroughly tested in the field and I'll present my results on BushCampingTools for all to see. Also you can follow me on FaceBook
