How does it cut? very very well, with a hollow grind and quality AUS8 steel, but equally important, a comfortable handle.

Cons: there are none for a knife of this class!

My modification, I put quality bee's wax furniture polish into the walnut scales to add some water resistance to the material.

The philosophy behind the design was bring out a budget knife which had a leather blade cover, not made out of plastic, had genuine walnut scales and made with a quality blade steel, ie the General X1. I knife which could be carried in a pack, tool box, car, workshop etc. A utility blade but many steps up from some garbage kitchen knife.
